Origin

Our history

In 1965, José Oriol Marín started Disboton’s activity as a small family business that manufactures buttons with an entire handmade process, focusing the business on haberdashery and high-end clothing

Over the years, the business model has been oriented and restructured towards the fashion industryand the expansion of new markets, although without forgetting its beginnings and the artisanal production processes that differentiate its products.

In January 2022, the Catalan businessman left the presidency and Ana Marín replaced her father, remaining in command of the giant Spanish button maker. This led to the fact that, at the age of 27, she became the youngest woman in Spain to lead a textile factory.

The company

Currently, the company has the female leadership of Ana Marín who, for the first time in the company’s history, decides to appoint someone from outside the family as a member of the management team: the commercial director Gonzalo de Melo. The executive pairing makes Disboton the perfect balance between tradition and trendiness, experience and innovation, fostering good taste, service and quality in each of its processes.

We have our own factory in Barcelona, which allows us, in addition to offering great prices and time competitiveness, to have rigorous control of work processes.

Other factories

To handle a large number of international orders and minimize transportation, we have factories in China and Turkey. There we have the same standards of product quality and service.
